There is a love stronger than the chaos, running underneath us - beckoning us to go below the skin-deep externals, beyond the wind, even into the eye of the storm.

Eli & Danielle
What a way to kick of 2018 - these two and some amazing New Zealand landscapes.
Meeting the boys for coffee in the morning at Leigh was a good start to the day. There was coffee for the guys and some excitement for the locals, who decided they needed to give some words of wisdom to the soon to be husband. Unfortunately, most of it wasn't great advice! Then to the beach for a brisk swim.
When I arrived at the girls' they all seemed calm and collected, but that didn't last long. Soon enough, a letter arrived from Eli. Before Danielle had even opened it there were tears, warm, half-laughing tears that she tried to hide away from the camera as her mum and bridesmaids cheered on. It's sweet how much the thought of love can bring so much joy.
The waterworks had already started before Danielle walked into the church. Just knowing she was waiting outside was enough to get Eli and the rest of the groomsmen going. That's how you start a ceremony!
The main shoot with the bridal party was such a blast. The locations were epic but the shoot would have been great even without them! Everyone brought it 100 percent. It was a real party - with sweet beats included.
The rest of the day was a blur as everything seemed to speed up. The reception was a good mix of sentimental and verging on 21st-esque level of trouble, which was fun to capture as the photographer. The food was stellar and, to finish off a perfect day, an epic sunset!!! Some days you just can't believe how well an event with so many possible variables can work out. But, then, it's easy to forget how much love and planning goes on behind the scenes.
This has gone on long enough... but there is a little extra at the end...Queenstown.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did capturing them.
