“It is by loving, and not by being loved, that one can come nearest the soul of another; yea, that, where two love, it is the loving of each other, that originates and perfects and assures their blessedness. I knew that love gives to him that loveth, power over any soul be loved, even if that soul know him not, bringing him inwardly close to that spirit; a power that cannot be but for good; for in proportion as selfishness intrudes, the love ceases, and the power which springs therefrom dies. Yet all love will, one day, meet with its return. ”
― George MacDonald, Phantastes
Matt & Jade had such a dreamy wedding in the heart of Auckland City. There were so many wonderful moments, it was hard to choose which images to put up. I loved each segment of the day in its own unique way and how they all added up to truly capture Matt and Jade as a couple. There was a cheeky morning shoot - some photos not posted , a grand classical wedding ceremony, a stop for coffee and pastries at Chateaubriant with its wonderful French charm, as well as a city shoot as the perfect backdrop for this suave couple. The day before the wedding when we checked the forecast it looked like we were in for rain and thunderstorms all day, but that didn’t seem to phase Matt and Jade at all. They were ready to embrace the day whichever way the weather went! I hope you enjoy this story as much as I loved capturing it.
P.S. The dress from this wedding - amazing!!
